Nice, so do you think you would've done better with 305s? I know you've mentioned to me you like how your 22s feel for daily driving.

I'm pretty sure I would have done better with the 305 pirelli's cause from experience with both tires on the road I always feel better traction with the 305's. The yoks are a bit too stiff and hard of a tire for the autoX and I felt the FX loosing ground traction on the course during the big first and last turns. The size difference I think is pretty negligible but definitely need softer tires. But can't find any of the pirelli asymetrico's in 295's for these nismo wheels. Any suggestions Viet?

wish we had time to test the 305's that day.

Our tire height is hard to work with at times. Too short too tall. In the 19 295/45-19 is the one of the closer sizes to run. Moving up to a 20 allows for more tire choices, but the wheel and tire combos end up weighing more.

Would've been interesting to see how you did on your 22s, and how Dave could've done on your 19s.

Yes, it would have been interesting to see. May have to think about going to 18's =)

I'll definitely try and get out to another autoX event soon. There is one in Willow Springs on Jan 5&6 I am considering.

I'm sure that if I was running Doc's set, I'd easily shave a couple seconds off my time. I was stuck in the low 40s consistently, cuz I just couldnt make her go faster without plowing the front end out of the apex. As soon as I attempted to go hotter into the turns, over my bald RSA's limits, I would lose the correct entry into the turn, & have to lock up the left front to just to keep it line. On such a short course, this had nothing to do with power, & I really believe that if I was able to come in hotter, my ride had ample enough power to put up some competitive times to the Doc. I will try and take some up close pictures of my sneaks tomorrow to show you what I was dealing with.

Nice shot. Post it up in the Calendar thread. As it looks, it may just end up a you - me - dee calendar, unless people start contributing.

ill see if i have any calendar worthy pic.

guys, how did the fx autocross times compared to other vehicles?

Best time of the day was a porsche GT3 with a 30 something. A heavily race modified corvette was consistently around 33-34. I couldn't see what some of the other 350z's, G's and smaller sports cars were doing as the times were not visible while in the staging line. But i think Will and/or Bert could give you some of the times of the other vehicles as they were near the time board. My best was 37.4 out of 5 runs. The FX held its own against alot of the cars out there.

Viet do you know how zack did on his runs with his G?

GT3 did a best of 31s. That yellow S2000 was lapping at 33s.
Did you guys notice that silver late 80's Alpha Milano lapping around?:laugh:
