chopped up some fender flares.. I think I might give this a go.... from what I understand there's no going back though!!

I would love to have been able to see that, I tried to dig up the photo but it looks like it's no longer viewable via the hosting account. Anyone have it archived?
Was toying with the idea of getting bags to have an all around option as well.. how high can you go from stock height with bags?

I don't mind that look, I am surprised they don't have the option for first gen FX like they do for the 2nd get for the wider flares in place of the OEM fender trim.

I actually like the flares. Every once in a while, I start imaging what the "off-road" version of the car would look like, and I have been trying to imaging what would the flares of Jeep Wrangler or Jeep Cherokee (older models) would look like on FX. I guess I got my answer...

I ran a pretty beefy bull bar up front for some time years ago, but it was not black. I found some pictures recently, so I will try to post. Also, while moving, i found that bull bar, so I actually wanted to paint it black and get an LED bar attached to it. I still might do it, but there is just not enough time for me and all my other projects :disapointed::disapointed::disapointed::disapointed::disapointed:

I actually just saw something that might be doable for FX (will most likely need some custom work). They make this lift spacers for Mini Cooper Countryman (I have MCS, so thats how I stumbled upon those) that are put atop of the suspension plates and give about 2" lift. I don't think a machine shop would have issues making those, but I am not professional, so don't know... Let me see if I can source some pictures

yea they have these type of lifting accessories for most trucks and SUVs, My friend had some on his 4runner.
Can these be installed on the FX? This type I mean, since the rear suspension has separate shock and spring?

(Sort of) Did a bit of off roading today. Loved seeing the 14 inches of snow surrounding my car after boarding. Took some coaxing but after a few rocks back and forth I got enough momentum to break free of the snow prison I was in. Proud father day.
