I discovered a new airbox mod that seems to work!!

Probably, I just always saw the factory snorkel as tiny. On a mildly modded car, it makes no difference. Stock inrake doesnt cost power. But if I were to boost the car, I would locate the filter down low.

wouldn't the stillen cai be the best since it uses the factory air intake duct to feed most of the air? with the stillen cai the air intake temp is around 5-8 degrees higher then the outisde temp

\i know what you mean when the stock snorkel is tiny. i think mines half blocked from my wind deflector. i wouldn't mind modding the intake down there if it does make a difference

He got it in HK so it's not just a regular sock

The trick is to wear the sock for a month and NOT wash it. The natural foot grease or jam acts as a water block that is better than the K&N spray AND it won't foul your MAF. I suggest test fitting your sock first before "wearing it in". Be a shame to go homeless with "smelly sock" only to put it on and find that it doesn't fit your filter......

Please note - For the first few hundred miles your exhaust will smell a bit lean due to the thickness of the sock and there will be a faint foot odor, eventually the odor will go away and the ECU will compensate for the sock.
