I am sure you will be fine, and if you have any issues, you have us! Looking forward to them. Good luck!
WORD OF ADVISE......
DO NOT DROP THE Torx BOLT THAT HOLDS THE HANDLE IN PLACE INTO THE DOOR. I did, and it is a serious pain in the @$$ to fish out.
Also, I dont know if its possible to get the door handle off and back on with out the inner door panel having to come off, but I ended up having to remove the inner panel to fish out the bolt I dropped and found that it was a lot easier to get the handle back in when I could hold the latch mechanism from the inside of the door. Especially when your trying everything in your power to not nick/scrape the fresh dip on the handle.
Just my $0.02
Hmm I have never had to remove anything on the door to disconnect the handle, strange. Also, your torx bolt actually disconnects? Mine is attached by a strap so no matter how much I spin it, it is always attached to the door frame.
Yeah the drivers side didn't have a little catch like the passenger side did. You saying that makes me think someone had already messed around in there and broke it off...
Lame.
I dipped mine without removing.
When I replaced a door handle a while back I had a ton of trouble reinstalling it.
I sprayed the tops and bottoms really well on the handles. Been on there for 8 months or so with no peeling
did you tape off the handles or just plastidip everywhere and peel the excess?
