Is it possible to put a GT-R engine in an FX (specifically my 2005 45)? What would need to change? How much would it be? Has anyone done it?

Hey if they can stuff one into a Nissan Juke why not an FX???
If I won the lotto I would do it!

Don't forget how much it will cost you to maintain the GT-R. Brake job alone on GT-R cost close to 8 grand. Oil changes are $200-$500, transmission and differentials are $1000-$1500 and so on...

More than just the engine obviously. I doubt the FX transmission would bolt right up then there is the intercooler piping, intercoolers, ECU, both driveshafts, rear transaxle, specialized motor mounts, etc. In other words, it would be more beneficial to do forced induction on your current platform.
