How does everyone black out their front grill and rear chrome strips?

Don't know about the grey look but my grill looks black as it should and I don't find it hard to clean at all. Depends on what you prefer when it comes to paint or PD but remember paint is permanent and if you don't like it your stuck with it as to PD can be removed if you tire of it or don't like it.

Plastidip has a rubbery texture and if you do it wrong, it also feels like sandpaper. It can also be splotchy and uneven; it was never meant to be a paint. I've seen plenty of plastidip stuff look good in pictures, I have yet to see one that looks decent in real life. Also, it's not very UV resistant so it tends to fade. On top of that, it chips easier than paint and is harder to clean. I'm not sure why it's so popular other than people realized that if you mess up, you can just peel it.

The only reason to use plastidip is that it's reversible. There is absolutely zero other reason to use it. IMO, just go all in and paint it. So many people have done it already, you know what it will look like, so just paint it. The amount of work is about the same. I'd personally recommend having a body shop do it. You can always tell the difference between a professional painted part and a rattle can. I had mine color matched at a shop, probably the best $80 I spent on the car.

Right, you guys know what I mean. Paint is harder to reverse; I've had cars repainted plenty of times, so I know it's not a permanent thing. But if you have a body shop paint a grille, you can't really go back to chrome. You can with Plastidip. FWIW, I hate Plastidip. I think it's one of the ugliest things people can do to their cars, but when something is cheap, it's popular I suppose. People don't want to seem to want to take the effort to do it right anymore.

Oh, shadow said that plastidip was reversible.. like paint wasn't.
I hope paint is reversible because I might change my grill up so more lol
