I would let the insurance handle it as he's already proven that he cant be trusted by lieing. That way your gonna get the FX fixed the right way.
I personally would just go through insurance, i mean what are you going to drive while your cars gettng fixed? Atleast insurance will give you a rental. Since its not your fault your rates shouldn't go up either. He works at the dealership but he's not a body man. Just cause you work at a dealership i doubt the body shop will fix it for free. So since he has to pay anyways, i would take the money from him and go elsewhere. Just show him two different quotes. If he doesn't give you the money right away i would then go through insurance

At the end of the day these are just vehicles. As much as i love my fx i always remember its a material thing. The damage isn't that bad and you're not hurt
OOoooo i see someones chance to have their lower trim painted when they repaint their bumper.![]()
Ended up paying out of my own pocket, after seeing the shops circumstances LOL. If you can even call something horrendous like that a shop. I wanted the job done right. Quoted for $300 at my close friend's body shop. Will post pics after its done.
I would like to thank all of you for talking me out of it. Half-ass jobs don't cut it!
