Ok, system full installed, what a bitch!
It is not fun at all, and while I am glad I did it and its over, I would NOT do it again. This is one option I'd rather just find the car with it, vs trying to convert mine to it.
Again, I love it, as we can now watch 3 different videos at the same time (not sure WHY we would ever need to do that), maybe wife watches something from passenger seat, and each of the children watch their own in each of the headrests. But at least I can do it if needed. I guess one dissapointment from the system is that you cannot manage them from the headunit like I had originally hoped. Each headrest is manged within itself, so you have to control each unit from the headrest itself, which makes it hard to do if you are up front driving. A centralized management system using the NAV screen would have been HIGHLY prefered. In the end though, its also nice if you have older children, for them to manage their own sources. They can share a DVD with the other head unit, or they can watch their own dvd. And of course you can share the audio from the headrest system to the whole car, or they can listen to their own sources via their headrests.
Thanks!
Jon
