The Random Question Thread

You're lucky that you haven't experience a power outage and needed to take the car out of the garage. So, be careful if you plan to replace the torsion spring yourself.

the spring is dooable but very hard and dangerous

Oh no, with a power outage, all I have to do is enable the emergency cord and it rolls back up/down with ease.

And I won't be doing the torsion spring replacement myself, I did some research and..... NOPE.

I had a feeling it was the spring haha. Did you hear it snap?

Lol, I sure did... Loudest noise I've ever heard from my room. It sounded like someone drove into my garage or my car fell off a lift. When I checked the garage at the time, I saw nothing unusual. That was until I tried to open the garage to go somewhere

Hello i would like to have my Dtrl on without the headlights on can anyone point me in the right direction I can't find it on the search

The Canadians have, I thought, due to their laws.
The cars have to be made that way to follow our daytime lighting law.
I remember on my 09 FX, I even had a recall where they replaced my fog lights with a more dependable bulb since it was law that we had to have daytime running lights at all times, and the ones that came standard were failing after so much time.

Did they use the fog lights as the DTRL, or the inner lights in the headlights? I thought I saw one a few years ago with just the inner lights on, and someone replied saying that was what they did in Canada.

Is our manumatic really aggressive?
I've noticed that it doesn't shift up on it's own like other manumatic cars.

I tried to sport mode on my mom's new Camry and it was annoying
how much it would shift up on its own

On first gens they are originally like the vehicle you posted, the inner most bulbs on the headlights are on whenever the e-brake is not engaged.

On 2nd gens the fog lights are the DTRL's.

Did the camry do it before you reached redline? That seems kind of odd if it did.

On some cars in tiptronic once you hit the revlimiter they will shift up for you automatically. On Infiniti's you can let the car bounce off the redline if you want, although thats really not a brilliant idea...

Anyone have a windshield washer pump go bad or freeze up? I have a steady electronic selenoid sounding stick from the passenger front portion of the bay...

i had mine freeze up last winter. could of been because the fluid been sitting for so long that the water and alcohol separates.

I think mine froze as well. Nothing was coming out earlier, even though I had been driving for a bit.
