Not even with high temp paint? I've been searching for the g37 ipl echaust everywhere since Saturday and haven't found anything. At this point I just wanna know the fiameter of the tips so I can just get some aftermarket ones the same size. Doubt they'll look any different anyways.

You could paint them with a high temp paint (2000 degrees would work). If people can paint calipers, you could paint your tips. Imotionfx just did his tips plastidipped black on his FX and his parents car and he claims it works no problems
 
That were a "decorative" rings that Imotion45 platidip he did not his parents Lexus. I remember Jeff from Torronto powder-coated this Nismo tip and it start to come apart.

Valid point of using high temperature engine paint. Wasn't thinking about that. Even with high temp engine paint, the tips has to be rough up pretty good for it to bond tight. May worth a try.
 
Does anyone know the exact diameter of the IPL tips and the length of the tips?
 
Does cleaning the throttle body yield any power gains? Just cleaned all of the black soot out of there and was careful when closing it so my idle is good. I just want to know if it will feel any faster?:smile (2):

I'm starting to get a rattle in my exhaust AGAIN.. at low RPMS.
This happened a while back at 85K miles, now I'm at >155K.
Luckily, when I took it to the dealership under warranty, they just replaced the whole exhaust system.
They don't really fix things.. they just replace it.

It's probably the heat shield. Does anyone know where this "heat shield" is located and what is used for?

The heatshield on my G was rattling so I just cut the heatshield of the cats.

There is also heatshield around the Y pipe those I didn't want to remove so I just went to Autozone and bought some 3" hose clamps and that stopped it.

Look under car for aluminum sheet that sandwiched between the exhaust pipe and around the cats. They meant to radiates the heat from heat the floor of the car which in turn heating up the passenger compartment as faster than without them.

pat, if you called your insurance co and told them that you hit a wall, or a pole, or a mailbox or whatever, then they will still have to cover the damages minus your deductible. the difference is this becomes a "chargeable" offense and does go against your good driving record with the company... as far as raising the rates it depends how long you have been with them and if you have any other claims, most people will just claim that the car was hit while it was parked, so it becomes a claim yes, but not chargeable, as it would then be considered not your fault, vs telling them you hit a mailbox or something, it is rarely, if ever, the mailbox or the poles fault ;)

now even claims that are not your fault are still a claim, and a claim is a claim so usually it is to be avoided, but a claim that is not considered your fault is always better than a claim which you are at fault, best thing for your rates are of course no claims but sometimes a claim by itself won't affect your rates all that much, especially if you've been with the company over 3 years and have no other claims...

I don't know anything about building an internet forum, but is it a big pain in the butt to put in a member's feedback system? When I say feedbacks, I mean for classifieds... perhaps giving a member positive, fair or poor feedback for the sales transaction. I'm NOT asking this question for this forum (because I don't buy or sell anything here), But I've had some bad experiences in another forum that doesn't have any kind of feedback system... but I think they should... and when I pm'd the mod/admin, they kinda replied with an attitude.

Here's an example of another forum that DOES have a feedback system, see screenshot. Just below the user's name, there are the boxes for "Positive, Fair, Poor"

Anyone know the part number or where I can get the clear plastic lenses that cover the license plate bulbs?
 
I actually just got some with 9 led on each from kat that's a member on here. The problem is my lenses have some weird white stuff on them and I cleaned most of it off but now they're foggy so I thought I'd just get new ones.

I finally got around to getting pictures of the plug that I need for my foglight. Does anyone have ANY idea what plug this is or where I can get it. It is from the car's factory harness and is not aftermarket.
