The Random Question Thread

personally i would buy led ones. ccfl tends to give you issues after a while ( ballast needs to be changed etc) Id go with leds.

i would just do the fronts its just bolt on

Wow... So I just need to get the 09 rotors and the ekebonos would bolt right up to them? I really do want these. :-/ im afraid that after getting new rotors and coils the oem calipers are going to look puny.

CCFL can be fine since if a ballast blows, it's outside the headlight. Up until recently, I'd argue they were better than LED's (more even light, brighter, etc.) LED's have come a long way in this application, but LED's still don't have the uniform light of a CCFL ring. On a lot of them, you can see the individual LED's lighting up when you get closer. Unless you get the Morimoto xB's, but those have that yellow color which can work for some, but definitely doesn't match with a lot of color schemes. Also, LED rings can have individual LED's go out which means you're going to need to open the headlight again.

Oneighty has done my headlights blackout housing and put 4 LEDs halo and they are bright as anything :good: good quality work

I think there were some successful attempts in Russia to supercharge the v8? So I guess it's doable.

Oh, Russia. I should've figured. Hmm. Interesting. I was just wondering if anyone had done it and made like a hell of a track car out of a 45.

Should be doable, but outside of some less than certain stories about custom builds, there aren't any major manufacturers putting out kits like you'll find for 35's.

Is it possible to Supercharge the 1st gen 45? If so, who's done it?

Anything is possible with enough $$$...

...but there are no kits available. The only one I've ever heard of (for the vk45de) was made by Cosworth for a boat racing team. They were asked by a member here about reproducing the kit and they basically said "no".

BC recommends a 5mm preload on their BR type coilovers. My question is, Do they come with this 5mm preload from them or do we have to adjust it before installing it and lowering the ride height?

Slight knocking at idle. Dealer changed oil two days ago. Anything I should check related to that? I've driven 100/700 miles today. If something happens I'm royally screwed to put it nicely.

Oh and I drove 300 yesterday so there's been some miles since the change.

If the rpms dip below 500 at a light does it have to do w the throttle body ? fx is at dealer to check it out since its 51,000 :'( but told me theyll cover it under it. Also where can i find good info on extended warranty?

Yeah. 99% of Infiniti dealers will put it through a throttle body cleaner machine thingy which doesn't do much and sucks. U are better off cleaning it yourself there is a DIY and its pretty easy I've done it or take it to a mechanic that cleans it by hand. This is what the head mechanic at my Infiniti dealer recommends. Said he has seen the results of the machine afterwards and it's a waste of money and cleaning by hand is the same price or sometimes even cheaper depending in number of throttle bodies.
