I love the line method! I was driving once and they had a sign that said monitored by aircraft, then I saw a huge white stripe across the road so I just slowed down for a little bit.had a valentine, let me down a few times so i upgraded to the full k40 undetectable in-car bumper to bumper radar detector/laser jammer kit. The only ticket for speeding I got with it was for a non-radar "line-method" ticket.
I didn't install it into the new car yet, its sitting as a nest of wires in my garage haha
Probably laser jammers.fireRN has jammers installed on his FX35 front and rear.
^well yeah when you have it you speed more lol
when you don't have it, you speed more when you clearly shouldn't be. I still speed you have no idea....just not speed as much where chances of hitting a cop are high.
when i had a radar i would speed all the time because you felt safe no matter if the road you are on is loaded with traps for cops to take.
Stu - yes laser jammers. regular detected and laser jammers...basically best of both worlds imo, but lots of money to get it done right with the right equipment.
Which one do you guys recommend? Out of Passport, Valentine and K40? Price wise
also...
what's your budget? A lot of people are going to recommend V1, but I was just fine with Beltronic's RX65. It had a very high rating, just a couple points behind the V1 in a few different tests (from different magazines/forums etc etc).
The Passport x50 (or 50x or whatever) has the same internals as the RX65. Passport and Beltronics is/are the same company.
I would just avoid the lower brands like Whistler or Rocky Mountain whatever.
Another one that's kinda of pricy BUT gets a lot of great feedbacks is the Escort/Passport 9500 series. It has GPS and eventually "learns" the spots of false alarms (like grocery stores).
