rear sitting lower than front?

Hey all,
Don't know if you've been following my saga with Jim Coleman Infiniti and the clunking noise coming from my front driver's side wheel area.
Long story short, there's an odd noise/thump that occurs when I go over a bump and is more pronounced when the bump is at an angle (Reversing out of a driveway).
They insist it's because I have after-market brake pads and so I told them that I'd let them do a front brake job and if it didn't fix the problem they'd reimburse me for it.
So that's happening this weekend (7-9-11).

In other news, I was coming out of the grocery store yesterday and I noticed my FX sitting as if I had a ten ton weight in the trunk. The rear looked compressed and the front looked much higher. I walked all around it and it looked the same on the other side and now I'm wondering if my suspension in general is shot. (I didn't have anything in the trunk).
I'll post pictures tonight.

I'm running stock suspension and the stock 18" wheels if that helps.

Do you have a tow hitch? Did you notice the same drastic difference when parked in different places? You know, sometimes there's just that crazy optical illusion effect jack'n with your mind.

I'm blaming every single thing that happened to my FX on the suspension just to have a great excuse when I drop the hammer on coilovers.. Wife need to be fully convinced.. Lol

Also I agree with you the fx tend to drop her ass very low when the read shocks are going bad.. One thing I will fix once I get coilovers. I'll give it the muscle car look(ass up in the air)

lol,
I went to take a picture of it this morning after my work-out and of course it looked fine.

It's got about 54000 miles on it.

If I have to do coil overs then I want to do a lot of the suspension parts that would need replacing. I got to drive a Mercedes GLK350 last week and I was super surprised how tight it was. I thought that being a Benz it would be a spongy POS but it actually handled more "car-like" then my FX, which was why I got the FX in the first place. I'm hoping that by replacing all the right bushings and so on I can get that tightness back in my car.
