So - Imagine your ride (any ride) out of your hands and offsite for nearly two years. It is delivered to a shop or tuner in pristine condition, wheels, body, etc. Fast forward 1 year and 9 months working through multiple development issues and unforeseen costs, you pick up the ride and the performance is well, off the charts with the promise of more and you are so happy to have it back you overlook cosmetics.
I am NOT holding any of the shops or techs responsible as it would be impossible to track the damage to the point of origin after this long. I have accounted for most of the issues, I have new wheel rash to two wheels, minor but the wheels were perfect B/4, subtle air hose scratches across the entire hood, side scratches on the doors and a fine coat of niobs over the entire body that I think may be spray paint of some sort......
This post is mostly whining as most of the "damage" is repairable, but I have questions for the iS community. The roof rails (not the end caps, the centers) look to be acid rain spotted, any ideas on cleaning? Best idea on body scrubbing? Clay bar? I tried to clean the body and waxing will take forever. The wheels I may just trade out to my OE 50's and let a good buddy purchase my GTR's and do the minimal repairs. Sucks, i like detailing, I don't have the time, I can afford to have it done and yet I don't trust anyone to do it.....
