Intro: ONEighty aka 180Custom & what we did to a One-Bad-FX

Hey guys,

can you tell me the pricing now :wink (2):
I've been waiting for you guys to get back to me.
I want to get this Ish done I'm sick of being stock

Like we've spoken about on the phone...I want to do a similar "shadow" for all the chrome/alloy trim, black out all of the tail lighting, and paint the headlight housing...then go from there to other things

I can vouch for 180 customs, they do quality work. Igor and Alex did the headlights in my G37, before I traded it for the FX.

Everything done on the car looks great - nice work. The future list is important though - lowering that summabich is absolutely required to get that look you are going for in the photoshopped picture. Which looks great, btw.

I'm not a huge fan of the front grill, but people say that about my billet grills all the time.:tonguey:

It does look better in black than chrome but I think my problem is that I don't care for how see-through it is. From the front, it almost looks... missing.

Great job on the headlights. I'd like that done on my 1st gen FX, color matched to the body.

I agree with you 100%, OEM style LED strips that need to be decent quality ones and not cheap pieces of garbage that either aren't bright or fall apart. The flexible cut to length strips don't look very bright, look cheap and won't last long. But at the same time, no one wants to buy them from a Porsche, Audi or Mercedes dealership and spend $1k on them, that's for sure!

Finding an OEM style LED strip that's easy to install DIY and fits well on the bumper of the FX (1st and 2nd Gen), that looks good, is bright and durable, yet doesn't cost a ton of money would definitely be right on the money and something I'd be very interested in. I look forward to hearing what you come up with, and I'm sure there are a LOT of members on this forum who would be interested as well!

Thanks!

I disagree.

When I did my set up, I definetly did not want the look like it was an aftermarket mickey mouse LED's.

My new set up will have the MBZ LED's and my current set up has the Audi RS6 Led's, both of which cost around $900 including the harnes. In order to have something look great and even OEm you will have to spend money.

No reason to try to do something that will eventually look outdated and look like everyone else. IMO

+1, I love all that I've seen thus far and I'd like to start by replacing my 2gen grill. Can any of you tell me where to get more info concerning that grill. Is it a new addition to the Billet line? Maybe we can consider a group by for the LED strips?
Thanks in advance

Yep, it's the same type that goes over the LED rings. We can also color-code the circut board on the rings so it's less of an eye sore, so if we paint the projectors black, or silver, or white, we'll also match the circuit board to blend in a little more.

You can, but the only of AWD is you can run rear wheels all around, so you have the super concave look on all four corners, appose to just the backs.

The LED lights you see in those pictures are accommodated to their custom bumper, you wouldn't be able to do that without doing fabrications to the stock bumper, we can do it, but it involves a lot of labor to make it look OEM.

I love their body kits by the way... super sick.

Honestly, I'm not a fan of aftermarket grilles, on this job, we just worked with what the customer already had and didn't want to replace. We love the factory Infiniti grilles, theres a lot of custom work we can do to them. For example... remove the emblem and fill the gaps to match the top and bottom bars, so you'll have a factory emblemless grille. We can also paint it to match the rest of the look on the car, or even do the bars or sections of it in carbon fiber.

If you can do custom fabrications to fit LEDs to my G35 i may have a job for you... sending you a PM on G3NYC..

I agree with you on installing cheap looking LED's that don't fit with the rest of the vehicle. I strongly disagree with you however that if you could find a reasonably priced set of aftermarket ones that look OEM that you need to spend $900 on Audi or MB ones.

Personally, I have much better things to spend $900 on. You don't necessarily have to always buy the most expensive piece of equipment out there for your vehicle to look good. But I do agree with you that buying a cheap set of LED's just because they're cheap, if they don't look good, will be a waste of money and make your ride look like crap.

If there were a decent set of aftermarket ones that LOOK like they're OEM but only cost a few hundo, that's the only way I'd get them. I simply won't spend $900 on lights for my car. If money wasn't an option perhaps, but I could find a much better use for $900.

I Spent 1500 on a set of Porsche LEDs that are made for the Cayenne GTS.. these LEDs were sick and I wanted to retro fit them into my G35.. this is a project that's gonna be long in the making.. prob a long time until I find a good Frab skills.
