Ray's Boost

Awesome job, Ray! There is so much attention to detail put into each component!

Thanks Buddy...!! So happy with it as well. Sometimes i just have to control myself as everything is so new now with the paint....you often just don't want to put "second-Hand"stuff back in :wink (2):

wow man, looking awesome. I'd try to do something with that brace if I was you, shouldn't be too difficult to cut the center out and weld up an arched brace to fit around the tranny pan. I mean of course you can use it without it too, but I would eventually want to get something back there if I could.

Yeah i was thinking about that John. The thing is that pan is so deep that if i would make something that would go under it it would become even lower and that would deff give issues with ground clearance with my ride height. Honestly im even affraid for the pan. I was thinking on lowering the car a bit more when i was done but now seeing all this i think i just won't do it.
Going in front of it just isn't an option as well cause that is where the crosspipe for the turbo is at and the other bar of the brace. Any ideas...??

Ray I had the same issue with my brace - we ended up cutting it more than once, including a bracket for the custom exhaust.

It transferred vibe to the chassis - don't do yours this way!

Yeah i remember that. How did you end up doing that. I tried to read your thread again but over 16 pages and don't have the time for it. Also noticed that most of your photebucket files are gone....

Do you think the summit / GT Spec brace at that location in total could be mounted there at all....?? I'm also trying to figure out where the downpipe would come through. There is so little space with all that piping over there. Next friday i have an appoinment for the exhaust part with some colleques just around the corner where i am located so then i have some more of an idea how it will all come together and what i would need to adjust.......or they for that matter ;-)

Update:

Ok so still looking into that oem sway bar i cut out, but luckely did find out that the Turbonetics kit runs it's downpipe trough another route than Jumbo's set-up does wich allows me to keep my summit brace down there and in tact. I think that will at least help. I'm amazed how the turbonetics kit fits the FX platform. Today we are working on the heat side piping but there are some small things to adjust and further that side of the turbo fits fine i have to say. Is it a DIY....uhhh not for me personally, i'm not that of a metal guy. But if you have some good contact who do like i do, this isn't a real hard job IMO. Also when you want to lett a company do it, i can't believe they would overcharge you for many hours to make this kit fit your car.
Also the Ac lines...when wrapped good in heat shields and also the exhaust pipes and some tweaking of the lines the should be ok ( fingers crossed on that one)

We do have more room then the Z's and G's but it is still a a very narrow for all the stuff i want to put in :wink (2):

Pics:

I went into my header install optimistic about how much more room we have than the G/Z. Then I realized that between the frame rails and the motor its about the same...

Sent from my DROID RAZR

yeah, were very similar, where we gain room is between the radiator and the engine, and we gain a ton of room above the intake, but yeah, at the bottom and between the rails we're about the same as a z/g

exhaust part is done. working on the turbo right now. did all the heatside with the DEI titanium heat wrap. have to say man i love this stuff....!! also did both the AC lines.and custom made some brackets for the b&m oil cooler.

thanks guys....it's almost becoming a peace of art imo......with almost being a shame to ride it and make it dirty.......but don't worry though......i'll most defenitly will...!! ;)
forgot this picture of the turbo before the IC piping. Garret GT 35R with DEI heat shield....polished housing and Goodridge couplers and hoses for oil feed/return and water cooling.

Yeah Ray I say wrap that baby up in an acrylic cube and put it on display, too pretty to dirty it up with fossil fuel residiue and road grime!
