New member here - lurking a bit and in the market to purchase a FX35. Great community and enthusiast group here and it's been quite informational so far. After researching the FX here I've narrowed it down to a 05+ AWD 35, as I will be modding and eventually might want to go F/I but it's my DD as well so that will be a decision for a later date. The 06 and newer facelift is attractive and probably what I'm leaning towards but since going into this knowing I'll be updating it I'm less concerned about the color of gauges as I typically like aftermarket in dash Nav systems better and have a good audio shop in my back yard who I have a relationship with for custom fab work etc as I imagine I'll have to relocate the OEM display for the HVAC controls.
For starters the mod list looks like Plenum spacer, Intake, Exhaust, BC COs, GTSpec bracing, and a brake upgrade with a tune. Probably stick with OEM 20s on 25mm spacers until other mods are done and then I can get it some new shoes.
Any NW or West coast FXers who have recommendations for a tuner would be appreciated! I'm not totally opposed to making it down to Cali (just moved back here from the bay area a year ago), but for obvious reasons closer is better for repeat visits.
Shame it appears White is only available with the beige guts - have it narrowed down to Black, Beryllium, or Gray with ebony interior.
Well enough rambling for now - great site!
