Exactly right Drew.
Thats why I also have my TPMS in my winter rims and not in my 20" Enkeis.
I don't mind checking pressures in the warm summer months but let the TPMS do it for me in the freezing cold..
My light is on all the time in the summer and you know what, it isn't that noticeable. The blaring light would bother the heck out of me... I didn't pay all this money cash to have some light stare me in the face all day. :err:
I have oem TPMS in the summers and after market ones in the winters. I spend the $30 twice a year to have them changed over. But I also do a manual check of the pressures once a month with my hand gauge.
In Ontario at Guelph Infiniti a couple of years ago, they quoted me $45 to pair up the sensors if I got another set, so that would have been $90 a year just to do that. What aftermarket tpms you have? Im guessing you pay 30$ everytime you switch wheels? I dont mind checking my pressure, I just hate the tpms light that appears.

From what I understand you cannot have two sets up TPMS on your car because you can only have one synced with your ECU...I think. I left my TPMS in my OEM 20's which I think I will be using for winter and did not put TPMS in my GTR wheels. This is because tire pressure varies much more during the winter with tempurature change.
i finally got a hold of a local tire guy, but he questioned if the fx has an electric differential, cause the stagger setup may cause a problem? is that true? also i ended up getting toyo proxxes st. cause the hankooks would be a longer wait and with a similar price range.
^^ I hope you got the Proxes ST II, the I's were crap from what I've read.
