Thanks man. After the V8 swap I was getting ready to rip out the IFS and rear axle and replace them with a pair of beefy D60 front and rear axles. One of these days it will be finished:

It really wasn't that difficult. Had to fab up some custom mounts, reflash the ECM with the 4.7 HO image, reprogram the SKIM, repinned the original 3.7 harness.

I was able to reuse the existing transmission, alternator, start, etc. One small adjustment made to make the throttle body and intake manifold work due to mismatched part purchase.

Sucks on gas, but it's a blast to drive!

I agree. Whodathunk that you could do anything with such a blah vehicle. Ended up being one of my favorite rides of all time. Upgraded, of course. Not stock. Stock just sucks. lol

Replicas are nice and can be had in the used market for a fair price. Would definitely buy one in the future.
