since this one doesnt look as good as my FX, i cover it up

Coming out of the grocery store last night. Debating a 6MT swap when I get the second FX out of my driveway. I met up with some Audi guys (and girl) last week, one of which swapped a 2.7tt+6MT into the same car. Took him a couple days, he actually made money by parting out the donor car, and at stage 2 it makes just under 400awhp.
.

Edit: I was thinking of someone else. The stage 2 guy's numbers on a mustang dyno were 280awhp/320awtq.

Props to all the vinyl masters out there... this was much harder than expected, and far from perfect.

Went with "simcarbon" carbon fiber wrap as it had more of a gloss than the 3m di-noc. I've used 3m's noncarbon wraps before to wrap a grill and they are amazing and friendly to use. The simcarbon was supposed to be as easy to use as the 3m but imo its not as malleable. Nonetheless the texture/shine makes up for it imo.

Any more thoughts on 6MT? What does the Wifey Express Engineer think of the idea? All abooooard!

Looks good! And looks tough to get around the complicated shifter gate bezel.

..

Nah, I have to get down to two cars before I do anything else to either one of the DD's.

And she hates the manual trans idea. I'd probably do it for kicks, let her daily the FX, and then upgrade the Audi. She's been dropping hints about a Q5 lately... Ugh.

No likey the Q5? I've given those some good thought (or the 7) but concerned about the maintenance.

I don't hate them but I much prefer the avants. You see the new allroad?
