Plasti Dip Project..

i used to have it but i cant find it right now let me see if i snoop around and find it for you.

That looks better! Now it gives it some contrast with the chrome headlight bezels.

Hey did you tint your windshield? It looks real dark.
 
Looks good! I did my grill and emblem black. I saw the pics earlier with it all black, and they both look good. I would prob just leave it how it is. Works well with the color of the car!!!

I am thinking about tinting my windshield too. How is it at night?
 
Great job....Probably going to dive in and do my grille too.

Now will this work on our 1st gen faded window trims? I supposing you can just tape up the area when you apply it, but how will the coating survive with being around the windows?

i think it will be fine and stick... two problems though, first is when you peel the plasti dip away sometimes its not a clean peel so on a long straight surface, it may lift/imperfections in some areas. Second, plasti dip dries matte... very matte... not too sure how that would look as our window molding is gloss. If you are going to take the time to tape up the moldings i would just paint it with a gloss black paint + clear afterwards instead. Bleedingsujit has done this with great results. The main reason why people use plasti dip is so b/c you do not have to tape the surrounding areas... rather just mass spray and peel the parts you dont want afterwards
 
Hey bubito, can you make a DIY or something to show how you remove the grill?
 
na man here in puerto rico tints don't matter much lol... and at nigh i can see just fine! but if you put 5% now thats to dark and you would not be able to see at night.. but 15% is perfect i mean they cant see shit inside and you can see outside!

Ill DIY on my grill this weekend its very easy man its just 4 screws and some clips and your set! this weekend ill have some pic's for you!
 
I got 50% windshield tint and had to get it removed. My emissions and registration sticker is on the window.

did you take it off because of cops or cuz was time to change one if your stickers? if it was fir your stickers did you reapply your tint?
