OEM Rear Spoiler / Aero Kit

I was very hesistant when I first saw this and EXTREMELY hesistant with the huge hole I had to puncture on the rear bumper but I must admit it was very well worth it...just one picture for now. I feel like this rear spoiler / aero kit gives the FX a very nice stance from the rear...more pictures if you guys want them :smile (2):

Just got my kit in today.. Was it tough to install?

Just a heads up for all the Tech guys... looks like we can get away with installing the front spoiler with no issues!!

Thanks :smile (2):
As to my foglights, in Canada all 2nd Gens come with it wired that way because Daytime Running lights are mandatory.

Oh, one other thing, My ICC works with the spoiler, the IBA also works, the only thing I did not try was my lane departure.
Infiniti warns that that the spoiler should not be installed on FX's with the ICC Sensor, but I had to try it. I thought it might affect it with the glossy paint below the sensor on a really bright day, but so far it's fine. If that causes a problem I think I would apply some matte paint below the sensor. Fingers are crossed.

^^^^Another update, I have driven the FX thru 4 States and now into Sask in all kinds of conditions and the Aero Spoiler has not given me any problems whatsoever with my ICC and my Tech package.

It's a  for the front Aero Spoiler

$2k for a perfect fitting, OEM quality, factory paint aero kit is actually pretty reasonable
actually you need to get lucky sometimes with the fitment,,,, the way they pack it into boxes sometimes they warp and lose their shape... They are a really good quality product but sometimes you get the rotten egg haha

I think there are 2 very distinct camps on the look of the aero kit. Personally, it's not for me - that's why I painted my moldings. I liked the original lines of the vehicle and wanted to maintain them and the feeling of the vehicle still leaning more towards luxury than sports car (although I bought it because it falls in both camps). To qualify my comments, I will say that I am in my 40's and I also own a pure sports car convertible with a minimalist feel (MR2 Spyder) so adding a bodykit to my FX isn't as important. I only mention this because I have noticed that it seems like a "younger" crowd really likes the body kit on this car, but having formerly owned an STi, I would argue that you would have been happier in a car like that than the Infiniti as the car is a true beast with infinite aftermarket options and awesome performance and feel that, frankly, even the FX50 can't touch, and all for $8k-$15k cheaper (depending on whether you own a 35 or 50)...

I am probably among the oldest members here and I love the Aero kit, it really finishes the vehicle off nicely IMHO. I have also had many older people comment on how well the aero front spoiler enhances the look of the 2nd Gen.:smile (2):

Wayne, he's saying he's older, not senile :wink (2):

 smart ass
Did you order your Aero kit yet Ian?

lol, yeah that's me. No go on the lip yet, waiting on these damn wheels. In the meantime I got some new toys to pass the time; kindle, dictation recorder, playbook... so I'm happy for now.

Sweet. I'm going to pick up a I-Pad 2 3G when I'm driving through the US in a few weeks so I can get rid of this dam cumbersome laptop.
That's a long wait for the wheels, but it will be worth it.

Ipad is nice but i find 10" tablets a bit too large and cumbersome. Plus I wanted to be able to see the vids posted on IS so needed flash. If you love apps, then you'll love the Ipad 2.

I hear ya on the wait on wheels, I'm trying to not get too upset about it.:mad.:

How old is "among the oldest members here"? LOL. Is the bodykit worth a few years? (ie, will it make people think I'm younger?)
