2nd Gen LED mirror covers installed from Marek @ Extreme Designz

Ah, my fav... LED turn signal mirror cover. Your ride is looking good. :good:

Thanks guys!

The 18's look good! Paint or plasti?

I just threw them on this past weekend for winter. The 22's won't see light until spring.

I took my time (4 coats each rim) with matte black Plastidip. Also left the lugs chrome and straight edged off the logo in the center cap.

Wiring

Wire them up to the BCU in the passenger kick panel. When you're looking at it, it's the top left set of wires. You want to splice into the white and orange wires (pins 17 &18), they are right next to each other; white for right and orange for left indicators. Maybe someone here can post a pic from the manual. Wiring from the door to the cabin is as described in my first post; just find that circular rubber grommet and start stuffing in the wires. Then get a flash light and get under the dash and find them and fish them out. I grounded both wires to a bolt on the BCU.

tip: when routing wires in the mirror assembly, it's hard to go through the same harness in the mirror. I just drilled a small hole in the plastic piece that covers up the 3 screws on the base of the mirror assembly pivot. I hope that makes sense, but if it doesn't, it will when you take apart your mirror assembly :)

Good luck!

I did the LED mirror cover install past weekend. The install was not difficult; it just took a very long time. I had to take the doors and the whole mirror assembly apart, and it took significant effort to take the actual covers off. They were on there tight. I didn't have to drill any holes for the wires in mirror pivot area. I routed the wires beside the OEM wiring, through the middle of the folding mirror motor. I basically followed the OEM wiring all the way into the cab of the car. It took me 50 minutes to do the drivers side and another 20 minutes for the passenger side.

Now, the problem: I don't know if Infiniti changed the wiring harness of the BCU in the 2013 FX or what, but I couldn't find the white and orange wires (pins 17 & 18). I took the glove box apart and went looking around the passenger kick panels for the wires. I couldn't find anything close to what PMG 705 described.

I took a few pictures:

A closer look of the box's 4 of 5 connectors:

There was another box directly under the glove box trim:

Does anyone know the driver and passenger signal indicator wires for a 2013 FX?
As of right now, the covers are install, but the LEDs are not wired up.

I think I found the answer from the 2012 FX service manual:

Top left connector M119:
Wire1_zpskdyjxcgj.jpg

Wire #17 color W (white) and #18 BG (brown something??).
Wire2_zpsoqmfngk2.jpg

So, they should be these:

I guess what confused me originally was the orange wire wasn't actually orange but brown color.
