After putting about 13,000 miles (2 years) on my Yoko prada, the tires were completely bald so I went and bought another set. I found it odd that it wore out so fast so I went and got my alignment done.

I couldn't believe how much my toe was off by. Here is how much it was off by:
FL OEM: 0.01 - 0.05
Before Alignment: 0.16

FR OEM: 0.01 - 0.05
Before Alignment: 0.20

RL OEM: 0.05 - 0.14
Before Alignment: 0.21

RR OEM: 0.05 - 0.14
Before Alignment: 0.10

Fronts were WAAAAAAAAAAAY off and it ate up my tires as if I was drifting. Strangely camber was in spec.

I guess I pay the price for being lazy and not getting an alignment. Now I know that FX needs to be aligned more frequently. I paid a premium of $800 to learn this lesson

I also think GT spec's stiffness is contributing to this.

oh wow, that's insane.....what about stock height? Is it necessary to get alignments every year for stock height?

Based on my experience, I don' think so. I drove about 40k miles with the OEM tires before I bought rims. This is without any alignment being done...

i was told by a technician that at least twice a year to come get it check now not saying that your toe will be off but it is good to get a lifetime alignment and take it in every 6 months.

Hmm.. I took the FX for a spin tonight (wife took it in for alignment at Sears) and I noticed my steering wheel does not shake with every single bump anymore. OMG! It doesn't feel like my old FX anymore and it feels great!
