Odometer Recall

StuLax- My service advisor was Richey Barnes. He's the guy with the strong English accent. He gave me a call on Monday about the recall and schedule for me to take it in today. Pretty straight forward and again it was done in about hour and half.
Give him a call at 1-408-531-3022 and I'm sure he take care of you.

I have Oscar. I think I'm kinda stuck with him. All I know is I'd hate to see Frontier if Beshoff is supposed to be the best. When I drive home next June I'm headed straight to Sewell for stuff I bet.

07/08s are still under warranty. They will take care of those 1st. 06s are coming out of warranty, 05 and under are way out of warranty.

Infiniti will not admit that the 06s and under read incorrectly as well. It would open up a whole can of worms from lease returns to lower trade values for the owners of those vehicles because of increased mileage. Might be why us 06 and under owners were forgotton on this recall.

Agreed. I understand the lease & resale considerations, but it's still against the consumers logic. If it's broke fix it. too bad we have so many lawsuits in this country.
In the meantime, were not calibrated. Probably an easy fix.

Ok so I received the letter regarding the recall for the odometer. A few months ago I called Infiniti to see if there was a recall for my 08 FX and the lady from the service department said there would not be a recall for my FX. So now I called today to schedule and appointment and the lady that picked up the phone checked the vin number and said that my car is supposed to get a part put in. I thought it was just an adjustment they had to do to the computer but I guess some get that and others like my FX need a part that has to be a special order that takes two weeks to get. So once I get it done I will see what's the difference on the recalls.

I took my 2008 FX35 to the Albuquerque, NM dealer (Gracia?) last month for warantee work and they notified my of the odometer reset recall - before recall, it was reading about 5mph too fast, after reset, about 2 mph, when compared to my portable GPS. The odometer was set back also, maybe (not sure) some 2,000 miles.
