FYI tension should be checked when engine is cool.
Stu to save the day! Not did he help replace my belts but he also buffed one of my hazed headlight. Thanks again for being awesome bro.:smile (2):
Looks like Sewell charges $39.09 for the belts, but that's online.

10 minute for any decent mechanicSo they were charging me $130 labor for a 30 min job?? Wow.....
Son of a bish!!! Amazon did send me the wrong belt. they sent me the 60465 also, which is too big of course since I don't have the extra idler pulley. I think this means Gates website, and Amazon's is wrong. :mad.:If your changing one I would do them both----
Gates Blue Racing Belts are what I used----
GATES PART # KO40372RB $25.42

Just make sure there isn't a lot of grease and dirt around. I used Goodyear Gatorbacks from Amazon. Changed them at 100K. If they squeal on start up, just tighten them another half turn. Don't change the idlers (like I did...).Nice and helpful post!!![]()
I'm about to do my belts soon. But i have a question..did u guys clean or prep the pulleys? or surrounding areas before installing the new belts?
Has anyone created a DIY for changing the belts? If so at what mileage should you change them? I remember going to Infiniti Dealer and them telling me they need to be changed and then a few months later i went for an oil change and they said everything is fine.
