Was wondering the same... Two slots should just go for it!

I just realized why it's so cheap...I didn't see the speeds. You can buy these from B&H photo for a little more.

The cards we got Andrew averages very close to 95/90 mb/s read and write speeds.
The sony class 10 above card is at most 40, but averages closer to 10 mb/s. This is where the cost savings is.

You will notice the impact when doing multiple continuos high shots and bracketing photos if you don't want ghosting, which I've been doing both lately.

So is that deal just a steal?

You can buy it from amazon for just a few bucks more:

or cheaper elsewhere...I haven't really looked.

Are you shooting professional sports lately? :smile (2): 40 mb/s is more than enough IMO for casual/non-pro shooting.

Nope. Are you using bracketing a lot? I personally don't use it, just shoot RAW and then adjust everything in LR. I don't do HDR either.

Another thing, how large are your RAWs? Mine will get up to 35MB, so if I want to take 3 shots right away, I can do that with the current card. If the card is lets say closer to 20MB/s at the moment, I couldn't take more than 1 picture continuously even though the camera supports 4 in one second. 1 second in photography can be an eternity pro or not.

Then if you do bracketing and taking 3 shots right away, you don't have to worry about the clouds, water, etc moving creating blur in the photos. With a slower card taking those RAWs, it will be too much time in between those photos. High end Nikon cameras will allow up to 9 bracketing photos at once in RAW.

I'm doing everything right now....trying to learn it all, so I have been bracketing a lot as well. However I don't have a good tripod yet to make full use of it. My B&H wish list is getting large. I've also been using manual mode more.

I've been finding myself more and more being a noise and sharpness nazi lol. I feel like it takes a lot of talent to get a noiseless, tact sharp photo besides just composition because at the end of the day if you decide to print the photo for the wall, it will either make it or break it imo.

I do adjustments in LR 5 as well, but I notice that the more I try to perfect the shot while taking the photo, the less LR editing I do. For example, that picture I posted of Gabby at the moment excited the only thing I did was adjust the white balance. I didn't have to mess with anything else at all, but during the shoot I did more adjustments.
