I'm not as familiar with the 45 as the 35, but I think it's similar in that the valve train is non adjustable, it needs to be adjusted with varying the actual lifters (or the shims on 45?)which require cam removal each time... a mediocre job might just suffer from valve tap, maybe premature wear from improper clearances set there? I'm not too sure really & I wouldn't be all that eager to find out the hard way either... I'd at least research it a bit I guess
