What did you do to your FX / QX70 today?

Finally installed GT Spec Mid Chassis brace. Almost as easy installing a strut tower brace and way easier than the lower engine brace. Plenty of room to get the rivet nuts in. And FWIW, the rivet nuts are the same as used on the lower engine tie brace. M12x1.75 I used the same bulk batch I bought a while back. It is low, but not any lower than the rear lower lateral. It's right in the middle of the car between the wheels though so it's concerning. We'll see if I high center it. I think my car is about as low as it goes other than iMotion and others on air (BC's on lowest setting and smaller diameter tires).

Don't know yet, haven't driven on it. I just did it at 10pm. We'll see in the morning.

And just a random pic of how low the car is. This is the engine splash shield to ground.

Coming out of that alive is the best gift. FX can be replaced you can probably sell some parts to some needed members before insurance hauls it away.

New shoes. My wife borrowed my car right after I got the tires. She called me and asked, "What did you do to your car? It feels so much better. And quieter!"

:eek.: since december!?

Do you not drive the FX in the winter?

She gets driven daily, about 70 miles per actually. Washed and sealed in December, went through the horrible winter and just got a wash. Works been busy, have a newborn, datsun, etc.. no excuses though, she was neglected a bit..

Looking really good Ian. H&R springs will look good on your ride IMO. Do you have a square setup?

54,000 miles, pretty good. What brand were they?

Rip, do you remember what was your alignment specs on the H&R? If it no more then a -2 it shouldn't be too bad.

Ze , the brake pads are JBT own house brand.
