What did you do to your FX / QX70 today?

Finally had the new wheels installed:

I was really impressed with the customer service at Discount Tire, never dealt with them before, but I don't think I'll buy tires from anyone else. On the way to the install I had to stop by the dealer for a check engine light and ordered the aero lip. I'm planning to put it on myself when it finally warms up here. To those who already have the CV1's: I hope you feel that imitation is the sincerst form of flattery. The setup is square with 22x10.5 30offset, clears the Akebono's by a c hair.

Wow!!! that looks fantastic. I was going to say , "All you need is the front lip to complete the look", but you ordered it already :good:

John, the new shield looks a bit beefier in spots. Nice!

Those CV1's look great!

I spent about 5 hours between installing the Triton LED's, and giving the first real deep clean and wax since the fall.

...and now it's raining. :at-wits-end:

No offence taken.

well played...

Here's how it looks installed. Same height as the OEM knob, but a little narrower and fits in the hand better.

And some stuff I just wrapped for my BMW.

So I finally decided to join the Sport Tail Club. Must say that I am glad that I did, really like the look it gives when combined with my other back end mods.

Also did some 3M vinyl on the centre console. The pictures do not do it justice! In person it is a near perfect match for the OEM aluminum, only in black. Still deciding how much of the silver I want to cover. I kind of like the contrast. Any thoughts?

Sport tails are a must. The black vinyl looks nice. Definitely adds some need contrast, but wrap the storage tray and button, lol. Also the door handles would look nice too.

I definitely agree on the tails, so much cleaner looking. I was actually planning on doing the handles today, good to see others thinking the same! As for the cup holder, I'm planning on sticking a black sticky mat for phones on there, hence the silver.

Sport tails were very necessary! I don't see how people live without them :) looks great dude! Also digging the black vinyl! Sticky mat is a great idea just be sure it can still open and close!

Thanks man, I definitely see what the desire for the tails everyone has is all about!

So I decided to wrap the rest of the console, will post pictures later. Decided to put the sticky mat on the little space below the screen, works really well up there.
