What did you do to your FX / QX70 today?

Me with the help of a buddy finally did the H8 Morimoto Elite 6000K HID System fogs retrofit on my ride. I also did the Blendmount radar detector with mirror mount tap install on the rearview mirrors. We just took our time and it took us about 5 hours to complete. Careful or not, I got a few plastic mounting screws broken. Ugrh. I had to order some replacements. Autozone does not carry those.

I am dead tired from the streching and reaching and filthy from crawling under the car.


The results are impressive. Even when using the fogs only with the main headlights switched off, the light output is very bright. I will take some pictures over the weekend.

^ I love Blendmount, so worth the money. I also love the Mori 6K fogs and heads too. Look really nice at night, along with the clear lens swap. Are you using the KP Tech fog module or you have some manual switch for the fogs?
 
Thanks Aero. Now I feel conscious of having both headlights and fogs operating that it might offend drivers ahead of me. The Blendmonunt is very expensive for such a small piece of hardware. Nobody has a better product though at least for now.

I used the KP fog module.
 
Why? My headlights are so bright and have this huge spread on the road, but no one has ever flashed me or anything. Just make sure the fogs are aimed properly. Maybe because I'm so low, that I really can't blind anyone. :bulgy-eyes:
 
I didn't do anything but it's pretty awesome. So, in my small town, well technically a village, of Yellow Springs, Ohio, Dave Chapelle lives down the street from me. I guess he likes how small it is and this place is really like California vibes. No judging and nobody cares if you're famous, whatever. It's pretty cool. But I went to our local grocery store and I parked behind his Porsche Cayenne Turbo and he was sitting outside drinking coffee and I was about to get in and he asked me what I was driving and said props little dude! So pretty fucking sweet right? I can't wait for his sons to get a little older so I can be their friends! Haha :)
 
His other whip is a range rover by the way. There is a Ferrari Enzo in town and I'm still trying to figure out who's it is. I don't think it's his... Hmmmm.

Yeah, I saw your pics. They are insane crazy. My headlights aim should be alright. I guess I have to get used to it.

I haven't put your wheels on yet. I was waiting on my torque wrench, and I am gonna drive this week with my stocks to see if there are any issues. If all goes good, your wheels going on next weekend. Here are pictures with spacers:
