What did you do to your FX / QX70 today?

Wrapped my roof with 3M 1080 carbon fiber, took 6 hours including taking the rails and antenna out and prepping the surface. I almost got it 100% perfect, if it wasn't for one giant bubble I somehow didn't notice until I was done!:eek.:. Luckily it's on a very top and not noticeable once the roof rails are back on. Phew. Will post the write up tomorrow.
 
I eventually did that, I made a rookie mistake when handling the vinyl. I tried to push the air out, and made it worse by creating too much pressure underneath, instead I should of broke it into a few smaller ones. Will see in the morning. Worse case scenario, I'll just redo it all again :mask: lol.

So Andy did you take today (President's Day) off? No one is on the train today and I don't even know if I have work. Whoops, guess I'll find out soon.
 
Nope, realize there are a couple of open issues that was ask the president of the company last Friday, so I drag my butt into the office today.

^ Love it. I think the painted headlights with the chrome projector shrouds make a huge visual impact. Car looks so much better and more aggressive. Well worth the effort, nice job man! :top:
 
Got my driving belts replaced and an oil change. What a difference in price a smaller Infiniti dealership has compared to the much bigger dealers.
 
I got in and drove it to the office on a Holiday even.... Not really such thing as a holiday in the car business although I work much less than most others. I did think about washing her but I know that will make it rain again! I want to show off the new caliper paint.....

One question though since I noticed you have the same tires I just purchased. I bought those same Yokohama Parada Spec-X tires in the same size and I was wondering how much do you like them? Like my number one priority with tires is how quiet they ride and absorb road imperfections. How do these tires perform in that area?
 
These were on it when I bought it. My last FX had Toyo proxy's on it and I like the tread pattern better. These have been good tires, they are quiet and ride nicely. I will be going back to the wider Toyo when these need replacing.
