What did you do to your FX / QX70 today?

^reminds me of my friend, he made four of those but when you drove the car up it was almsot two feet off of the ground

made them out of 2x 12 wood works good. Need minor adjustments but it works. TONS of room under to work. Costed me 40 dollars to make. I feel more comfortable working under the car with it up on wood then plastic or metal ramps.

Those gang nailers are not intended for that application. You should drive some screws through that whole assembly from the top and bottom. (5) 4" deck screws from the top and four more from the bottom would be more than enough. Be sure to stagger them as well so they don't try to occupy the same space. Like this:
T___B___T
B___T___B
T___B___T

I'd also think about adding a block on the top "step" so you know when to stop.

$400<$XXXX for a blown engine though. :wink (2):

Knock on wood dude!:eek::eek:
Yea thats my worry atm ... i was wondering ... do forced induction vehicles ussually shift from being lean to rich back and fourth or does it happen rarely? (im talking when the car has gone through a good tune)

I washed my alloys last night.

Going to a Monday night meet this evening and washed the car last weekend but didn't do the wheels. The brake dust was terrible. Spent about an hour with a 5 gallon bucket of soapy water and the Daytona wheel brush - cleaned every opening, the calipers and even the inside lip behind the spokes. Dried it with a rag and rolled her back into the garage.

Today when I get home I'm going to use a Meguire's wheel & Mag polish, along with one of those foam polishing cones you stick into a drill. This will be the first time I've ever done this to the wheels. Since 2004 I have only washed the wheels using rags, soap & water.

The tires get Meguire's tire gel (purple stuff) and I'll roll out to the meet tonight.

each level is screwed in from the top. Those gang nailers are there for giggles i guess. Didnt need them but had some. Yea i will put stoppers on the top ( was to lazy to get the saw out), and put rubber pads on the bottom to prevent the ramp from sliding.

Really creative, nice job.

You should create some Tire stops while you're at it for the wheels on the ground!

I started to get the Intelligent Key Battery indicator light a few weeks ago. It would still start but each time I started it the light would stay on for a while.

Went out today and bought a 3 volt, CR2032 Battery and replaced it.

No more warning light. I think I will replace the battery on the other I key since they were both original.

So I finally installed the FX50 rims, I noticed that even with the H&R springs the gap is not as small as it was with the 22" Lexania68988b4-b79d-9fe2.jpg
