What did you do to your FX / QX70 today?

Seems like Chicago has the mod bug and it's exponentially spreading...

I cleaned and conditioned my leather and plastic interior.

Thinking of getting 80% window tint for the front and windshield. Illegal since 20% is OEM rear, we can't have any tint in the front in IL.

But after getting 50% front, 35% rear, you can't tell that much at all of 50% front. Still pondering if it would grab attention or not.

I really like the fact that 80% tint gives me 50% heat block, 99% UV protection (even though OEM glass has UV protection) and glare reduction.

Was pretty certain they changed the front window tint law in Illinois, but It can only be 35 or lighter and you need a special card from your tint shop that must stay in the glove box to show Mr Police man if you get pulled over to prove your tint % Go on the Jessy White site for the new law.

1) 35% all around, except 100% front windshield.
2) 50% front, 30% rear.
3) Below 30% rear, 100% front.

Only state troopers have a tint meter.

Basically, the rest of the cops will go by eye and write you a ticket and you have to contest it in court.

I keep a receipt for proof in my other car.

But either way, it's annoying.

Washed it!

Does this mean I get my tires back? =)

Really want to fill in the groove (between the black plastic and the upper painted portion) in the front bumper and have it color matched but I want it to all look like one piece.....on a black ride its not a issue as it just disappears, on ANY other color it bothers me.

Haha, you don't want those tires back. They have plenty of miles by now, and a little camber wear I think. I may have to swap them side to side in the rear, even with the scuffed sidewalls showing.

I bet Texas to CA can add up the miles fast....As Hankook isn't making the RH06's any more what's the next best replacement in the Hankook line-up?

Yeah, a week from now I will have made that drive twice, as well as here to Phoenix and back.

They really aren't making them? Hmm I've got problems now. They don't have anything else really unless a new tire comes out.

Today I found out how to turn off the awd and be able to burn rear tires! Simply unplug the 10A fuse in the foot compartment that is named 4WD SOL!
