Drove by the shop where they are working on my ride in my matching silver Chevy HHR....my wife laughs at me.....I will say that the gas gauge didn't move for three days. I will also say I almost died on the freeway on rental day two when some idiot in front of me slammed on the brakes when a state patrol was coming up on us all lit up. I hit the brakes hard and almost side swiped the cop. Reallly missing the FX, such a controlled ride.

I washed my fx and tried some eagle one liquid wax on the hood and roof. Looking at high quality polish and wax for the summer-can't decide
Either collonite or Klasse AIO
Maybe nattys red or ,??
 
started parting it out. pretty soon I will be trying to trade and/or sell the following parts at about half the price of new ones.
Clear tail light set inner and outer
eibach spring with kyb shocks and struts I bought from Jumbo but never installed
Invidia Gemini cat back exhaust
Stillen air intake with UTR tube, will also include almost new recharge kit at discounted price.
Ichiba V2 20 mm spacers
20" powdercoated stock wheels
USA spec PA15 NIS ipod adapter kit.
OEM tonneau cover
R1 Concept drilled and slotted rotors and ceramic brake pads...(not certain about this right now).
Matic S and J tranny fluid at about $5/qt.
OEM hood protector.
 
So the previous owner of our new Audi had rotated the "4" in the "A4" emblem 90* clockwise so that it appeared to be backwards. In rectifying this bit of silliness I realized just how easy and reversible the whole debadging deal really is, so I debadged the A4 and the FX in about 20min. I really like it a lot more than I thought I would. I don't much care about the whole "looking like I'm pretending to be a 45, blahblah". It looks much cleaner and symmetrical. I'll post a pic a little later.

Just hand washed it after it was covered completely up with bugs after a 4 hour drive. Summer is officially here....
 
Leatheriqued worked ok for me. Maybe i did it wrong. Applied the oil, let sit for 24hrs, and wiped down with the cleaner. I miss something?
