Bubbling Dash Warranty Extension (96 months / Unlimited miles)

I have my new dash on order. MAke sure you guys take your letter or postcard with you in case your dealer has "selective" knowledge of the coverage.
 
Doc, do you mind if I reprint that letter over at Infinitihelp? There's a pretty long thread over there as well.
 
Got the same letter today. Late last year when i had them look at the dash, they wanted me to pay $300 out of pocket. I said hell no and threatened to "go to war" with them. I was just getting ready to fire off a nasty letter to corporate and then i get this extended warranty letter. New dash here i come!

Went in today to Tustin Infiniti. Dashes are on back order and they extended the warranty to May 2013....I got zero flack from the service woman (Lisa i think) she was super cool and even knew the previous owner on my FX I was glad to hear he took very good care of his cars. I'm not going to cover my dash when i park at work (got up to 96 today) any more just to see how bad i can actually get it to bubble....think science experiment
 
Holy crap how did I never see this thread before?!?!?!?! I've been bitching and moaning about how shitty my dash looks since the day I bought it, (I purchased mine used) and I was actually about to drop whatever cash was needed to get it replaced. Thank GOD for INFINITISCENE, without this I would have been suckered into paying out of pocket for something that is clearly freeeee!!!!!! MUAHAHAHAHA this seriously has made my MONTH!
 
I'm glad I came across this thread. My dashboard only has a few small bubbles, considering my FX is 5 yrs old with 98K miles, it's not too bad I think. I'll be visiting my dealer on Tuesday to look into getting a new dash. Thanks for all the info everyone :tup:
 
My wife's 2004 had BAD bubbles. Orlando Infinity replaced it last summer. The dealer got Infinity Customer Service involved, who called my wife to discuss. They replaced it at no charge. Glad to see Infinity stepping up to take care of customers. How much do you think this is costing them?
 
I don't own a FX but is this a known problem for all FX's.. what areas do i need to look for the bubbling.. Many dealers may not know about this problem.. Thanks
 
In general, anywhere the sun hits the dash.

Here's a few on my '06. I've seen other FXs with more bubbles.

Got mine replaced during the week. The replacement unit is definitely harder than the old one. Also, the color seems off as little bit but maybe it needs to be wiped with some shiny stuff or have the sun beat down on it for a while.
 
Is this something that all the dealers know about? This maybe a vehicle that i want to purchase possibly a 06/07 FX35.. Do i just need a bumper to bumper warranty or extended warranty to cover this Dash if it happens? Thanks

This is an issue that all dealers and service advisors should know about now. They are extending the basic warranty of the dash an additional eight years for the dash, so you are good until 2014/2015 depending on what year you get.

Just got my official letter today -- seems a lot later than most, but nonetheless I got it.
