they are around 2.5"
you can only get the nismo tips with the nismo exhaust or find somebody who cut them off of theirs... I hope you are not planning to put nismo tips on your x02 exhaust...:err:

I like the look of the ecthed nismo logo on their tips. they look different than most tips. I don't plan on it but it crossed my mind.

i knew the ebay tips sucked but i am not sure what replacement tips i want to go with. I like the rolled edges of the stock ones, just like that but maybe bigger??

The long clamp on ones would fit over the existing ones-they are long, and you would not be able to see the clamp from the side-only if you were looking from below the bumper
 
Just use the stock tips they look great imo and the diameter is wide enough unlike other stock exhaust tips so it wont hurt the soud at all of a cat-back system
 
Do what ever YOU want/like after all its your mod right? Everyone is going to have their own opinion and likes. It all boils down to what you like since your the one that has to live with it.

yes but when you start mix and matching brands to make it seem like you have a nismo exhaust because of the tips meanwhile he has an HKS knockoff...that's when it crosses the line.

plus there are tons of places you can look for different tips, you can even have one made.
 
you can try the invidia tips, i think their sold separately. i like the stock tips on your x02 exhaust though
 
"get some made" with etched designs?? if that is what you meant where at?? that sounds like a option

about the only ones i see that are etched have flames on them and i definately dont want that. there are some that have angel eye leds in them-which would be different but im not trying those!

Just an update for anyone looking for a cheap alternative to a exhaust for the FX. Had it installed for month and a half or so and still love it!!!
 
Does anybody have any confirmation of this exhaust working on awd? I've been searching but Havent found anything. Probabally going to hit the transfer case but just needed confirmation.

I just read this thread for the first time...

I don't want to pick a fight JB, but haven't both of your Nismo tips FALLEN OFF, and haven't you since replaced them with Motordyne tips? I don't see "Motordyne tips" on your signature, are you trying to make it seem like you have a full Nismo exhaust? Pretty hypocritical if you ask me.

If I thought Nismo tips were any better than the stock tips I have, I would run them in a heartbeat. If anyone called me a poser for it, I would laugh in their face.
 
UPDATE

i have had this exhaust installed about 6 mths now, nothing but compliments from people!!

it sounds awesome and still looks fine.

best $300 i have ever spent on any car i have had (10)

i love it!!
