I have a 2004 FX45 and would like to try the Cipher +2 Timing Advance mod.

I read this thread and instructions and it appeared quite straightforward. :smile (2):
Having never done anything of the sort before, I wanted to check in with the experts.

1. Can I do this on a 2004 FX45 model?
2. I noticed someone posted a link to the software. Is there anyone from this thread in the SF Bay area? I live in Sunnyvale, CA and would appreciate if I can borrow/rent this cable. I believe it costs about $200 to buy.
