The long awaited gtspec group buy

Slightly off thread question-My braces should be here next week and I am considering having a new exhaust system installed soon. How much interference will the rear braces and the four point brace create for the exhaust install? will it be better to install the exhaust 1st then install the braces? Rather not keep taking things on and off if its not necessary and if there is any dial in/post fitment work with regards to the exhaust it could be a PITA.

These bars are pretty strong, I slammed my lower tie brace going over a ditch yesterday. Scraped it up pretty bad but it did not bend and all welds are still strong.

All our braces are manufactured with the strongest lightweight material.

All end joints and mounting points are CNC from forged 7075 aluminum.

Very light yet very strong !

I did exhaust second. Didn't have to take off the braces for install either.

I like the option of using an exhaust shop for the exhaust and a speed shop for the brace install. My question was based on when I'd have all the braces and the exhaust on hand. Double checking my order now but it sounds like my brace order may have short shipped so I may have some extra time to put it all together.

Just an update... another batch of orders will be shipping withing a week or so. Please keep checking in for more updates. And for those that orders have shipped... please feel free to post up when you receive your order.

Hey guys and gals:

Want to thank James from Platinum Auto wheels for arranging a successful group buy. Also want to thanks Infinitiscene forum for the continue support for the GTSPEC brand. If there are anything else you need from us, like extra hardware, install instruction, stickers, please don't hesitate to email or call us. We will try our best to provide them.

We did produce extra braces for stocking. Please contact James or our reseller to get them.

I figure it will be easier to post the available brace here.

Got the strut bar installed tonight. Took like 10 minutes and fits perfectly. However the hood doesn't close as easily as before. I notice the underside of the hood has some sort of sound barrier felt. I got a feeling it might be pressing against the bar somehow. Do I need to remove those?

This is the first I'm hearing of the GTSpec STB contacting the hood liner. The Stillen was proven to hit it but only at the highest point due to the curve in the bar. The relatively flat design of the GTSpec shouldn't be anywhere near the hood. Is it the mounting points that are hitting the liner? You should be able to see some indentations showing the point of contact.

I left my hood liner in with my Stillen since the contact wasn't very severe. It didn't bend the hood at all.

Hmmm, you're in Sunnyvale. I'd almost tell you to drive over here and I'd look at it, but from the pics it seems like everything is fine.
