I ran some injector/fuel system cleaner through a couple of tank fills and checked MPG over three weeks of driving around town,up and down the mountain, and on freeways now I'm back up to 18.6 MPGI was getting around 17 but now 13.8 seems to be the norm?
I try but I think my foot has a mind of it's own LOLJust take it easy on the gas pedal.......I drive very carefully (slow) by TRYING to keep the rpm under 2k, even on accelerations. Yes, I like to conserve gas.
Go easy on the pedal, you'll have nice gains on mpg.
It took about three weeks using injector cleaner to see MPG improvement I plan on using it every third or fourth tank from now on. How often do you use it? The dealer said that the lower octane gas I was using when gas was around 5 bucks a gallon could cause the injectors to become dirty, does this sound right?15-19 and I do have a heavy foot. But I try to use fuel system/injector cleaner often.. And I does works.
