Hey chris, im gonna smoke my tails but i cant decide using VHT niteshades or something else. With the black duplicolor acrylic lacquer, is it able to run off using acetone? or is it on there for good? and how difficult was it to match all the lights?

get it done by a paintshop, do not waste your time with nightshade

nightshade will make it too dark n then you're f@#$%d. the process of sanding and polishing is still the same. if you decide nightshade, only do one coat and a coat of clear. and be patient with the sanding process. or $150 will get them painted by pros.
 
I was able to get the lacquer off with lacquer thinner. I'm sure acetone will work, as long is it doesn't eat the plastic in the process. I had turbocad do my tails on my new truck professionally and they came out much much better. wouldn't go back to doing them by hand on future vehicles either. money well spent.
