FX35 Ipod Interface

Oh cool, so then the interface cable connects to this and then you plug that into the Ipod and your set?

Yea I fight between car mods or camera gear. I got a 5D MkI in November and a couple primes. Spring will for the FX........maybe. :err:

Nice pickup on the 5D Gil! All you have to do now is come on out to one of our track day meets and take some official iS pictures =)

I'm glad to help out a fellow FX'r...

Plus is was good that Psicline (will) showed up to say hello and help to remind me the reason that the Stealer Defense is so good because of the USC players..:tup:

In regards to the DIY for the Ipod adapters, it varies by Manufacturer. Some of them are made to go through the back of the FX (Actually bellow the back sear where the Satelite Radio Plug In is located) and the one that Carlos and I have, wher it conects directly to the back of the Stock Radio.

which one is better and/or easy to install?

I have the OEM one (Murano version) and its a breeze to hook up to the Sat thats behind the rear seats. The thing I dont like about it is that the Stock controls a hard to understand, but theres a lil trick you can do to control it from the ipod itself.

It sounds like this solution is on par with the OEM unit(minus the steering wheel controls??) And much cheaper.

Do you still have to unplug your iPod if you want to listen to Satellite Radio?

Is it pretty intuitive with the rest of the buttons on that dash that interface with the iPod(searching for artists, playlists... etc etc???

Thanks again Bert.

Ok so my bad. I forgot to mention to the seller what Ipod I have. He is sending me the proper cable for my Ipod so once I get I will try to install it. If I have any questions, I'll ask Bert how to remove the center console again, but I think I will be fine. So this unit does charge the Ipod, you just need to specify which Ipod you have which I forgot to do. So I will keep you guys posted.

Thanks again for all the feedback I got from you guys and Berts install skills.

Nice.... Hope this cable works for you because I want to do this to my FX also.

I'm sure it will. Either way it's good. I don't think I have listened to the radio since the install. hahahaha

But I'll keep you posted as to what happens and I will take some pics. Will try to do it on my own. Bert makes it look so easy so lets see how closely I paid attention. hahaha

I learned how to change the fogs from him so we will see.

Pretty easy? just need to remove radio (panels) and plug and play? mounting was smooth?

are you planning on getting the HDRT ?

PICS!

Yeah, just remove all the panels. It's all plug and play. ahhaha.

Wont need to remove the stereo. The interface is right next to the shifter under the panel. So just need to remove the shifter know and remove that panel. I hope I remember. lol
