Keep it stock or lower the fx?

^^ +1.. 20mm all around will be same & nice but if you ever get wheels that have a lower than stock offset or a wide wheel with close to stock offset, you might rub. If you don't plan on changing wheels, get 20mm ones. If you plan on wider wheels then maybe 15mm is safer.

if he is planning on new wheels in the future, why not just by the correct offset then? I know some wheels dont offer many choices

oh they don't... and they're heavy.. Doug, stay away from 22" wheels that say Spidero on any place in their names.. Baad.. Stockers? Gooodd...:laugh:

Why are they bad wheels?

They're not. I was kidding.. IMO, Spideros are the best looking wheels for my C16 and for my taste but if you take a look at performance, they might not be the best solution. They weight over 40lbs each, and the offset is not a very good one at 38 for a 22x9 wheel.. Still, I love the look so I don't mind really..

don't forget, spacers are in mm. so 15mm vs. 20 mm, we're talking half a cm difference. i don't think you will be kicking yourself saying, damn i knew 20 mm would be too much. and Mike (PhantomFX) was selling them for like $70. He sold me my STB and springs for like $250 total. Really nice guy and great to work with, he's up in the Frisco area, but we met at Willow Bend.

stu you have to hook me up with this guy phantom!! asap lol!! does he have all four spacers in 20mm?
I told you to PM him, I havn't talked to him since then. Hopefully he gets an email that you sent him a message. yes, all 4. he has a thread on here and you can see pics and stuff.

This is from his PM to me:
The spacers are H&R Trak+ 20mm wheel spacers (I have two pairs, thats how they sell them), they retail in pairs online for 100-150, I will sell them for 75$ a pair, you can look at them if you want before you purchase them, one box has been opened to look at them, the other has not .

no problem. where in dallas are you? i could take you for a ride with the H&R's on, if you really needed any convincing.

thats cool man. i live right by the 35 and 67 split lol... one day when im not super slammed and my wife is out of my hair i could meet up with you. what part of dallas are you in?

Lower it. Feels more stable, looks great, and rides even better than stock.
everyone always thinks this, but i can actual real time truth to this. i had only the rear springs on for a couple days before i took it to a shop for the fronts. just driving around, i noticed how much smoother the rear was when going over bumps and such. it was also fun feeling like i was leaning back the whole time.

Well, when I say it feels more stable, I don't mean I 'think' it's more stable. I know IT IS more stable, I should've made it clear :embarrassed:. As everyone here, I have my favorite on ramps, stretch of highways, etc. I definitely can tell the positive difference H&R's make on FX's handling characteristics .

yeah i know where thats at i use to live in the bluffville appartments. about 5yrs ago. i live in so. dallas. we should meet up one day man that would be cool. i could show you my stock fx lol!

that might mess up the design of the springs. maybe not for sure though..

& it gets 300% better with GTSPEC bracing. Jump on the Group Buy that ends tomorrow. Again, might be the last chance to get these for the next while.
