i just bought a 2004 fx35 and i think im getting the bug! lol. everything is good on it i am very happy with my fx! i would like to get some lowering springs also but im just not so sure if i want to or not. i had an accord a while back and had a skunk2 set up and wow let me tell you it sucked bad!! it bounced all over the place. now for the fx i hope its different. any suggestions? thinking about h&r springs and some spacers to kick those stock 20's out a bit. also thinking about powder coating my wheels. my fx is silver thinking about doing the wheels black.

after you get H&R springs , you will never go back.

I have better quality ride now then with "sport springs".

This is not a small honda, you will not get all bouncy with H&R. Eibachs are also another choice, but a little more stiffer.

Well. congrats on the new ride, H&R springs would be a good choice in lower a smooth comfortable ride that's better than stock. there are also eibach that are just as good maybe a little stiffer. either way you won't be boucing all over the place with which ever springs you pick. Powder coating the wheels is a good choice and it suposedly will last longer but there are some that have rattle canned their wheels and have not had any issues. wheel spacers is another good mod but there are other that can chime in on that to give you much better advice on it. my plan is to go with 15mm all the way around to make things flush. Good luck and again welcome...

Congrats on your FX and welcome to the scene. H&R all the way. They give you a better ride than the sport package springs. But if you want stiff, go with the Eibach springs. Just depends on your preferance.

From what you've said sounds like H&R would work for you as they are a softer ride than the eibachs.

i was a little hesitant to drop it, much like yourself. i scored some H&R springs in a failed trade from a fellow member, and i ended up getting a good deal. either way, now that i have them install my only regret is not getting them sooner. if i knew what the outcome was gonna be it would have been my first mod. looks killer, and feels great. go for it!

Thank you all for the awesome feed back i will post some pics up as soon as i get some stuff done to show you all the progress of my fx. also im glad there is a place like this so people like myself can ask questions and get placed in the right direction.

^^ yup thats correct, 1.3" front and 1.2" rear drop for the H&R...but it after settling it end up being close to 2"

heres a reference for what you could see in the drop

I want to lower mine with some H&R's especially with my 22's but I'm having some second thoughts as well after this last snow storm. I don't know if I can afford to loose any ground clearance.

what size spacers do you want? send PhantomFX a pm on here, he may still have his spacers available. although he was selling them back in june.

I'm not to sure on what size spacers to get. I don't want it to look like those old cars with the wheels hanging a mile out! then again with the drop i don't want to rub in every hard turn.. my tire size probably would have some to do with that. pretty sure stock size tires with the fx specials on it lol.. 20''s. Deecarp said 15mm all around would keep it flush and that's probably what i will do. his looks like its sitting pretty nice. again thanks guys for all the ideas i will post pics asap!!

you will still be safe with 20mm spacers

^^ +1.. 20mm all around will be same & nice but if you ever get wheels that have a lower than stock offset or a wide wheel with close to stock offset, you might rub. If you don't plan on changing wheels, get 20mm ones. If you plan on wider wheels then maybe 15mm is safer.
