I never have and never will believe in "grounding kits." The resistance between two points connected to the chassis is negligible. You can't make negligible "more negligible" because by definition this resistance is already so small it can be disregarded.

+1 on the placebo effect.

I had a 7 point gounding kit on my car and took it off recently prior to taking it in to the dealer. There was no difference in transmission response, throttle response, idle, etc.

It's been off ever since.
 
Grounding kits can also do funky things over time to your electrical system.

This was the case on my WRX. I had a name-brand system installed (correctly) and after about 2 years started getting terrible misfires. My keyless entry was also going haywire. I took the grounding kit off and all the problems immediately went away.

If they offered any measurable difference in smoothness of power delivery, then cars would come with more grounded points from the factory.

Then why aren't all our cars TT'ed with 600 hp? Considering that the large majority of FX owners doesn't even know what a grounding point it, they probably wouldn't care to see more of them in their vehicles.

Agreed, but most "grounding kits" don't use copper either.

Apples and oranges. If manufacturers could eek out another 3 hp and an increase in smoothness of power delivery, then they would spend the additional $5 per vehicle that it would cost them to add a couple of additional grounds.

Another thing to consider, even back-to-back dyno runs usually have a 3 to 5 whp difference. So, to say that a grounding kit delivers more power is just the equivalent of noise on a dyno chart.

However if the mod makes you happy, then do it.

Correct - but all modern vehicle electrical systems are already grounded in multiple locations from the factory. Adding additional grounding points is of little to no value.
