Vibration after getting new wheels

I am noticing some vibration and play in my steering at high speeds since I got new wheels and tires. Tires are slightly wider than OE size (see signature). Could this be a balancing issue or front end alignment issue?

Did you use hubcentric rings? If so check air pressure and have them rebalance them.

1 more thing to add is , your EXE rims, did they come in 5x114 or did you get them redrilled?

nevermind, I looked it up and 22" don't come in 5x114 (except for 626fx:top

to the OP, the vibration issue can be as simple as proper tire pressure... make sure you check them

Thanks Merchant! I see you got your answer on 5X114. It has been a couple weeks and I really noticed it this past weekend in a long trip to Knoxville, TN.

Thanks TrainerKen! I had the tire pressure checked as well and there were no issues. You think a realignment is needed because I went with a wider tire????

I know , wishful thining....

But I had spacers install on my FX and it did vibrate the first 5 miles, then went away.

I read after that he had this problem a few weeks. So you are probably right.:top:

that means they weren't seated/torqued properly when they were installed, which is beyond dangerous

glad to hear you got it solved. Exe is Axis Wheels right? If so all Axis wheels are hubcentric and not lug centric (that's what the rep told me anyways).
