Anyone Running Falken Ziex STZ04 or STZ01?

Curious as to your impressions about this tire.
I am leaning towards the enhanced STZ04, seems to have had some improvements made over the STZ01 but curious as to real world feedback if anyone can share.

Many thanks.

I'm interested in both as well.. May get STZ04 in 22s or STZ01 in 20s..

really that much? Cool!

My 20s will be front 32 lbs and rears 35lbs.

Even if the 18s were 34lbs, I would loose 2lbs on the wheels combined and gain 2lbs on the tires combined which means my aftermarket 20s with tires be the exact wieght of the stock 18s with tires over all. about 3lbs lighter per coner upfront and 3lbs heavier out back. I couldnt be happier.....unless I was dropping a few lbs as a whole but definately happy about not putting any on overall and that 6lbs i save upfront should be a little noticible in the steering dept.

thanks man!

I am running on the STZ04 and have no real complaints.

Wish they would stick more to the ground though..

Yet, there tires are the best bang for my buck in my opinion. Mind you Toyo Proxies or even Perelli Scorpions are the best, but pricy...

I have not complaints and would recomend only the STZ04 for the Falken brand to anyone who wants a good alterative and savings for name brand tires.

Yeah, I was really looking for a summer performace tire but the ones that match what my specs I'm after are $300 & 400 a peice, $1500 is just tires. for $500 the falkens are looking saweet!

=/ i just saw this thread. i'm running the STZ04's on my summer chromies and i love them. i'd recommend them.

plus, i think they look kick ass on the ride too.

Old thread but I thought I would chime in. I got STZ04's put on today. So far I have no complaints but we'll see how they do as I drive up the mountain tomorrow to go snowboarding. :-)

I dont like em. I have a RWD and in the rain they're really bad. When they get cold, it feels like driving on plastic not rubber. But hey, thats why theyre cheap.

I have the STZ01s in 18 on mine (came with them on my preowned car that I got from the dealer), and don't really like them because they follow every groove/abnormality in the road, so I have to make a lot of minor corrections as I'm driving. They also don't give me a feeling like I have very good grip in the rain or cold weather.

Just put 22" stz04 couple weeks ago, I like them a lot compare to my old 20" Hancook Ventus AS. Less noise, 22" is as comfortable as 20" Hancook, good traction. Will buy them again.

I am running STZ04's. They are supposed to have the deepest tread available on the market. I like how they look as well. The only thing I have noticed is that its not very hard to bust them loose and throw it sideways at the first drop of rain.

My Falkens (20s) make a lot of road noise, gonna go with the Yokohamas once these wear out.

I would second that. Mine seem to be pretty loud. I have no idea how they were new since they came on the car when I bought it so I have no idea of the mileage on them. Anything over 40MPH with the windows close you can hear them.

Just got the STZ04s... IMO they are really bad in the rain. I was making a left turn in the rain at a pretty average speed and i could feel the fx slipping out :(

The FX is very rear wheel biased so the back end fishtails very easily. Although I'm not disputing your review of the Falkens as I've never tried them. =)

Imo they are dangerous in the rain. I have to drive extra careful in the rain, like driving in the snow.
