I just received my new Rotors from rotorpros...

Was reading the rotorpros website on ebay, they talk about rotor colors. Im wondering do they have the rotors in Jet Black. I see the Black zinc, but it appears to be a little off black. I saw a post where somebody had rotorPros number. Does anybody have it by chance?

I believe it's not the color of the rotors that touch the pads, it's the color of the hub only.. As far as I could remember, somebody here (Psicline?) got them like that and the paint chipped..

Yeah, I was wondering about the color since I see that they have black zinc rotors. Would be kinda nice to go totally stealth on the brakes. I bought the black G2 caliper paint and infiniti decals already. Hopefully Psicline will chime in. Thanks

Here's some pics & info:

I think the chipping issue was mentioned in the GB we had a while ago.. Can't find it now but you can see where it is painted.

Here is the number for rotorpros 714-309-3620 ask for Rich

Yeah the black paint on the rears started chipping - I just left it. cant really see the hubs anyways with my rims.

Probably best to save yourself some $$$ and not get them painted.

Actually guys I was talking about the black zinc rotors, since RotorPro does not appear to have a website, but a store which I can see via ebay. Anyway they have black zinc rotors. I was going to do something a little different, like black calipers, black rotors, stealth it up.

Guys

Just spoke the Rich, don't want to get the Black Zinc, it scratches off, I will just go with the Siver Zinc, drilled and slotted, with the Posi Quiet pads, and Stop Tech SS lines if he can get me a good deal.

Ok...I think Im down to the RotorPros at $430 (Rotors front/rear, posi quiet pads, Stop Tech SS lines) and the Rotora Rotors $500 (Rotors). My question is more about the life of the rotor. I'd rather pay a little more if I know its going to last me a few year. My question is how are these working for you? Any issues? Are you running 22s? Would you purchase again? Thanks

Mine are just fine, but my pads need replacing due to normal wear and tear.

You have to understand, The Rotorpros isnt a high performance part. I think theyre just oem then slotted and drilled. It gives it that sportier look. IMHO they're better than OEM since they got rid of the squeal.

Dunno if rim size would make any difference, but to answer your question im running 20's.

Reason why I ask is because of weight, so then would say that Rotora Rotors are probably better, even though its the same size as the OEM rotor. Im looking for an upgrade, but not BBK. Thanks

The only upgrade without going to the BBK route would be using different pads since Rotorpros or Rotora rotors would come in stock size. There's no difference in stopping power if you go with oem pads with these. I don't know about PosiQuiet but with Hawks it was slightly better after they warmed up..

Probably the best "upgrade" you'd do with those would be the steel lines. IMO, that's the only thing that gives out a good braking feel.

Weight...they got to be a little lighter. As my grandpa asked me once with a glass jar in his hand. How do make this glass jar lighter......you drill holes in it. :.smile:

So EG3 there is no difference in the different rotors out there if we stay with our stocked size?

Thanks for the patience, about to make a purchase and want to make sure Im getting the best for the OEM setup. My last set of rotors didn't last a year.
