I think this would be an easier method for some, and definitely repeatable between measurements. However, just to nitpick, half the tire height (B/2) doesn't represent the true center of the wheel because there is some deformation at the contact patch where the tire rests on the ground, which could be approximately 0.5 inch (an assumption I'm making). Therefore, you do eliminate the 1 or 2/16 inch inaccuracy in guessing where the center of the wheel is, but an approximately 1/4 inch error (half of the assumed 0.5 inch deformation) could be introduced. Like I said, I'm just really nitpicking (being a dork).

However, if we all measure the same way, it really wouldn't matter. But if some of us do it the first way, and some do it this way, there will be a difference in measurement.
 
I measure with a straight edge, from the very center of the very center of the center cap... the bullseye, dead center... right up to the edge of the fender.


yes the slight angle from the wheel to the fender is a slight difference but nothing compared to the inacuracies other methods could bring.

the accurate way for a critical measurement would remove the angle from the equation. torpedo level is probably a little more accurate, a lazer pinpoint level & a plum bob would be absolute, but a straight edge from the lip to the center is where my measurements are taken, think it's acurate enough & repeatable & less room for error simple

i think i measured it right, cause didnt have a measuring tape well i did but it was in meters. but used a striaght edge and got those measurements so dont know if its accurate

can kinda measure visually from the lower door line to the wheel centers, I'd guess your like 2/3 of a full wheel centercap lower than me, maybe closer to like 2" lower, so if you was a stock body at your height you might see numbers like 13.6 13.7, like that about would be my guess ... get measurements to the front & rear pinch welds at the rocker & I could tell you exactly how it would translate to the measurements here, or any other good reference point, frame rail, lower control arm bolt, etc...

FYI

Just got off the phone with INTRAX. They said they had to rework their factory, etc. The part number for FX was never produced but it should be here by November/ Dec for anyone that wants the 1.8" vs eibach/h&r
 
that would be nice. so if we were to get a 1.8" drop on our FX, would we still be to spec once we get an allignment?

I'm pretty sure someone said you need extra camber/toe stuff with Intrax. Of course since no one has them, it's only speculation.

yeah, kind of like when I got my front springs cut. when I went to go get an allignment the guy at the shop was like we are not gonna be able to get it too spec, it's too low. I was like "yes you can" (going off of what I read here. you guys are always right). So then he said "No guarantees". So when he did it, he was like "Oh wow, you were right".
