how to install paddle shifters

I've already confirmed fitment into a 350z, an fx & a maxima, but it will fit many others, these switches are very compact. they should fiot everything from a sentra to a titan & everything inbetween, gotta confirm each model but I think this will really cover pretty much all later model nissans & infiniti's

most nisan/infiniti steering wheels are interchangable, but some are centered askew from others & may require a wheel alignment to reorient to perfectly straight when the wheels are straight, also, the wiring could be different & may need to be rewired. I put this g37 wheel in the fx & it works, but would need some wiring changes to get all the controls to match up, haven't bothered yet cause the airbag is so $$$, if I ever come across one the wheel will go in, not sure what changes may be necissary for a z wheel but I'm sure it can be done...
 
Here's a thought....how about a new 09 FX wheel? Those look pretty nice compared to the earlier models.
 
that should be doable, assuming you can get your hands on one, there not cheap, infiniti steering wheels with airbag will average $1,500 or more in most cases new, not to practical unless you find stuff on ebay or something
 
can you use the paddle shifters on manuals? just curious on how it works, do you have to push the clutch in, leave the stick in neutral?

definitely shouldnt work. auto transmissions are computer controlled, thats why the paddles can be tapped into them. manuals are completely human controlled. youd just be sitting in neutral flapping paddles while not moving.

OT - Sorry, I couldn't make last Saturday but I'm definite for this Saturday if you still need me to come down with the rim. I'll pick it up @ my dad's house tomorrow night so I dont have to make a trip to Jersey City and just go straight to your shop from my house.
 
like I told soon, only if it's not an inconvienience at all for you, truth is, it's not gonna fit anyway I think, since the 20's don't even fit, probably not worth the hassle really, but if you did bring it I would try it to see, don't knock yourself out though cause it's probably not gonna fit anyway :tongue:
